2.Installation

2.1 Hanging Connect hydraulic barrel hanger with suspension rod, and hang the drill pipe tong on the rig. Ensure hanging point more than 15 meters away from wellbore, and tong head center 0.5 meters from wellbore. Suspension height will be appropriate as backup tong just clamp coupling of pipe.

2.2 Leveling Adjust the adjustment screw on suspension rod to keep the drill pipe tong straight and level.

2.3 Tie rear rope One end of the rear rope is tied on the rig, the other end is tied on the back rod seat of drill pipe tong. Ensure the rear rope can support load of 50kN. keep rear rope vertical against drill pipe tong when the tong is making up, which is important to operator standing on the side of handle.

3. Operation Instuctions

Choice of die seat

Choose the die seat with right mark and part No.

Choose the die with right mark and part No.

Move guide rod pin into the lowest hole as possible for breakout.

4.Maintenance and Lubrication

Check all fastening screws prior to every shift, tighten if loose.

Inject enough grease to all turning parts before every shift.

Check the tong after use, and clean in time.

Clean the tong with diesel after finishing one well, and apply grease on all turning parts.

Never allow to clean the tong with vapor.

Keep oil temperature below 65℃, too hot will damage sealing system.

Ensure hydraulic oil is clean and filter is working normally. Replace in time if oil is dirty.

Choice of hydraulic oil:

1YC-N46 low freezing oil, applicable temperautre -20℃~+40℃;

2YB-N46 anti-wear hydraulic oil, applicable temperature -10℃~+40℃;

3YA-N46 general hydraulic oil, applicable temperature 0℃~+40℃.
